'tis the season...
...to be hunting. I love mushroom hunting. There's no better excuse to get outside and get lost in a forest. It's amazing what you'll find when you open your eyes to look for these little alien fungi's. Take a deep breath of the fresh woodsy scents and get exploring. Note: Don't eat anything you find unless you are with a trained mycologist. Mushrooms can look very similar but contain a deadly differnce.

summer solstice...
Happy Summer Solstice! The heat wave arrived just in time and the top of Mt. Tam is the perfect place to be on days like this. Fresh warm breezes high above the world, rolling golden hills for miles and miles, vast ocean views towards the setting sky, a calming sensation and peace as the sun slowly vanishes behind the horizon; Pure perfection. I love living in Marin.

To my beautiful Grandmother: You are my true inspiration, an amazing woman and mean everything to me. I will always look up to you and the incredible life you and Grandpa lived together. Everything you introduced me to while growing up has influenced who I am today, who I want to be and where I want to go in life. Thank you for everything you did for Sarah and me. We owe you more than you'll ever know. Don't worry, we'll take care of Grandpa for you; like dad says, you two are the greatest love story ever told and I know he misses you with every inch of his heart. We all do. It's so hard to say goodbye but this isn't goodbye forever, just until next time. These few words don't seem like enough but I'll always be thinking of you and keep you close to my own heart.
